If you're in the Indianapolis area, please come and check out Percussionist/Innovator Scott Deal's event DATA<>BASH at the Indiana Historical Society on Tuesday, 6.11.19 at 7:30pm! It'll be an evening of fantastical new music featuring the acclaimed Deal -Fried Duo presenting works stemming from, or played with, computers. The resulting music is a magical meld of artificial intelligence, live electronics, and musicians. Percussionist Scott Deal and pianist William Fried will perform music by Pulitzer Prize-winning composers Roger Reynolds and John Luther Adams, as well as works by Elainie Lillios, Phillippe Hurel, and Scott Deal. The Donald Tavel Arts Technology Research Center at IUPUI is sponsoring this event in partnership with the Indiana Historical Society. Listen to the concert performed previously and aired by NPR Station WDAV in Charlotte, NC. I'll be performing the electronics on his piece Goldstream Variations. Other guests include Erzésbet Gaál Rinne, harp and Elainie Lillios, electronics.
