Small worlds being what they are, I was recently invited by fellow UIowa PhD Grad/Department Head for Music Theory/Assistant Professor of Music Theory Kati Meyer to chat with her music composition students at Morningside College! Topics ranged from composition for electronic music to the future of AI music and why it's better to start partnering with smart musical machines now, BEFORE they take over. They had some really good questions and seemed like a fabulous crop of future music educators. A great time was had by all.
